Three Bus Passengers, Driver Injured In Valley Stream Crash

Three passengers aboard a Nassau Inter-County Express bus, along with the driver were injured during a crash in Valley Stream.

The crash took place around 12:09 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at the corner of Merrick Road and Cornwall Avenue, said the Nassau County Police.

Andy Kraus, a spokesman for the company, said the NICE bus was legally stopped eastbound at a bus stop discharging passengers when it was rear-ended by a passenger vehicle.

"Three bus passengers and the bus operator were transported to Franklin General Hospital reportedly with minor injuries," he said.

Police reported officers were still on the scene and additional information was not immediately available.
